Ilary Blasi

Ilary Blasi born 28 April 1981 is an Italian showgirl, model, television personality, and former child actress. She is the second of three sisters; her older sister's name is Silvia and her younger sister's Melory. She married the World Cup - winning football player Francesco Totti on 19 June 2005; they have a son, Cristian (born on 6 November 2005), and a daughter, Chanel (born on 13 May 2007).
Ilary was born in Rome, daughter of Roberto and Daniela. Her mother chose her name. As a fan of western movies, she named the daughter after one of her favourite heroines. Daniela also chose the name for the youngest daughter, Melory, who after Silvia and Ilary is the last member of the Blasi family. Ilary's introduction to showbusiness was due to her mother. As she declared in an interview, a neighbour told her mother that an agency was recruiting a blonde child with blue eyes for an advertisment of the "Panettone Galbusera", Daniela brought Ilary to the casting, and she was selected for her first job. Ilary Blasi finally begins her real tv career on the September 10th 2001, debutting in Passaparola as one of the six member of the dance troupe, called "Letterine" (means "little letter" as the show is about word games). To complete the dancing cast there are the veterans Daniel Bello, Silvia Toffanin and Alessia Fabiani and the newly hired Alessia Ventura and Ludmilla Radtchenko. During the edition 2002/2003 Ilary is at her second season as a Letterina as well as Alessia Ventura, and they are joined by Federica Villani, Cosmanna Ardillo, Francesca Lodo and Morena Salvino.
At the end of the 90's Ilary is almost 20 years old and is trying to get back in the showbiz from different sides; she works as a model for the photostories of the publishing house "Lancio", she poses completely naked for few photoshoots and walks on the runways for some fashion agencies of Rome, she joins the comedy "Tassinar in love" directed by Roberto di Sante at the Testaccio theater in Rome, and competes in the pageant "Miss Italia" in 1998, with the number 22 at the age of 17 wearing the belt of "Miss cinama Lazio". She has her first tv role, even if it will not influence the course of her careeer, by joining the cast of the edition 1999 of "Scherzi a parte". As Ilary wants to continue to work in tv, after two years spent in partecipating to many castings, all with negative response, she decides to try with the last attempt. She applies to the casting for the pre-dinner quiz game of Canale 5 "Passaparola" hosted by Gerry Scotti and she's recruited for the edition 2001/2002. She joined showbusiness very early: at the age of 3 Ilary shot her first tv ads, at 5 she debuted in the cinema with a little role in the movie "David & David" directed by Giorgio Capitani, while at 6 she was in the cast of "Da grande" of Franco Amurri (in this movie her name apperared in the final credits with the english distortion "Hilary Blasi") and "Vizio di vivere" by Dino Risi. Later she was in the movie "Fiori di zucca" (1988) by Stefano Pomilla and "La dolce casa degli orrori" (1989) by Lucio Fulci. In that period she did testimonials for various advertisers, like the one for the oil "Cuore" with her whole family, "Cicciobello" doll, "Renault" cars and "Barilla Group", "Galbusera", "Findus", "Balocco" and "Sanson" (food).

Meanwhile she continues her experience beside Fabio Fazio in the new season of "Che tempo che fa" on Rai3, till April 9, 2005. On that day she's interviewed live by Fazio and she admits in public to be pregnant. At the 3rd month she lets the audience know to expect the baby by the end of October and her boyfriend confirm the news with a phone call while on air. Ilary will be replaced by the swedish show-girl Filippa Lagerback. On June 4th is instead broadcasted her last episode of "CD:Live", where she's showing a more curvy silhouette and she introduces the girl which will play her role: Giorgia Palmas.
