Shakira

Shakira was born in the family of William Mebarak Shadid and Nydia Del Carmen Torrado. Her father owned a jewelry store in San Blas. Shakira - first child of mother and eighth child of his father.
Her childhood was spent in Barranquilla, in the apartments of El Lemonsito, including books and Latin rhythms. After some time, began to show interest in music and literature. In 2000, Shakira started dating Antonio de la Rua, son of then Argentine President Fernando de la Rua. In March 2001, Antonio has made her an offer. The pair planned to marry in September 2001, but in an interview in September that same year, Shakira has denied this information as unreliable rumor. 
Currently, Shakira met with Barcelona Deffender Gerard Pique. Rumors about their romance first appeared in November 2010, but officially confirmed their relationship is March 29, 2011, in his "Twitter". In summer 2012 wedding is planned Pique and Shakira. 
In 1997, Shakira founded the charity organization Fundación Pies Descalzos (literally "the Fund bare feet"), the main activity of which - to raise funds to sponsor schools for poor children in Colombia and other Latin American countries. Shakira was also the mastermind behind Creative ALAS (Artistas Latinos En Acción Solidaria), which was established in 2006 and brought together many Hispanic artists, including Alejandro Sanz, Juanes, Miguel Bose and others. The award ceremony took place on 3rd March 2010 in Geneva (Switzerland).
